Common questions
Does rotating hurt the quality?
The angles are multiples of 90, so pixels just swap places and nothing blurs. The file does get saved again — for JPG that means one more encode, at high quality.
What is the difference between rotating and flipping?
Rotate and the shot is the same, just lying on a different side. Flip and it turns into its mirror image: any text reads backwards. You can use both at once.
Why does my phone photo open sideways?
The camera always shoots the same way and stores how you were holding the phone as a separate EXIF tag. Some programs read it, some ignore it. Rotate the shot here and save it — the tag stops mattering.
Can I rotate every photo at once?
