Files stay with you
The picture is handled by code your browser runs on your own device. It never travels to a server, and you can check that yourself: open the Network tab in the developer tools and watch it stay empty.
Nothing to upload
Since the file goes nowhere, there is nothing to wait for: a batch of photos takes as long as your own computer needs. A slow connection makes no difference.
No counters, no watermarks
No sign-up, no payment, no mark left on the picture. There is one limit — a hundred megabytes per file, and less on phones, where the tab runs out of memory sooner.
